ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING. Additional cleaning fees will apply if evidence of smoking is found in cabin.
We booked this cabin for a quick getaway and absolutely loved this place. The living room furniture was very nice and comfortable. The cabin was nicely decorated. We especially loved the comfortable bed and the spaciousness of the bedroom. The Jacuzzi in the bedroom was a bonus for us and very relaxing after our busy sightseeing days. The location was good to get to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge pretty easily. Barbara was very easy to work with. We will definitely be back to "Wild Things"
We loved our stay here! We knew we would when we walked in the front door and saw how spacious the cabin was and the beautiful furniture. Everything was very clean and accurately described in the listing description. Barbara is very easy to work with. She answered a lot of questions we had in a very timely manner. I would recommend Wild Things to anyone looking to getaway and relax in beautiful mountain surroundings! We have already told our friends and family about this hidden jewel in the Smokies!
Our stay at the cabin (wild thing) was everything we were expecting and more it was very clean and made us feel right at home there was easy access to pigeon forge and gattlinburg which was a big plus for us i would highly recomend this cabin for other couples to get away on a romantic vacation in the smokies we will certaintly be back for another stay in the near future

I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at our cabin, Wild Things. We appreciate your taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to having you stay with us in the future. Best regards, Barbara
We enjoyed our stay at Wild Things. The cabin was equidistant from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin was just as described. We traveled with three children and felt that space was not an issue. Would recommend for family or couple. Will stay again! Barbara was very nice and easy to work with.
Such a cozy cabin! Nice, private location. The ADT security system was a plus. Contacting the owner was easy and she responded very quick. I would rent the cabin again for a 2 person get away!
Owner Response
Great to hear that you found our cabin to be cozy and nice and that you would rent with us again. Thank you and hope you visit us again in the near future. Please tell all your friends that are planning a trip to the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
Our family spent New Years in the Smokys this year and our cabin Wild Things was perfect. The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated. It shows the care that Barbara and Abel have puy into it. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The gas fireplace was very convenient. The kids enjoyed the pool table and the xbox 360 in the loft. On New Years we went to see a show at the Smoky Mountain Opry that the family really enjoyed. We are looking forward to coming back to Wild Things.
Owner Response
I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. We tried to decorate it snd make it feel warm and cozy. I hope you visit us again soon
This property was in a wonderful location! Close enough to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cabin was nice, I read the description as 2 bedrooms, but I should have paid closer attention to the 2nd bedroom being a loft. The Xbox didn't have any games with it, but there were several movies and games to play while at the cabin. The owners were very responsive and I felt like they were there if we needed. Wonderful weekend getaway!
Owner Response
Wild Things does have a great location and I am glad you had a wonderful weekend getaway. Hope you visit us again in the near future.
The property was exactly as described! Very clean and all needed amenities were perfect!
Owner Response
Thank you for taking your time to review our property. It is good to hear that our property is "awesome". When we were re-decorating it last fall we wanted to make it special with Wild Things found in the Smokies so each room is decorated that way. Hope you visit us again soon.
everything was niceand clean. it was as described
Owner Response
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. It's good to hear that everything was nice and clean when you arrived. We hope you recommend our cabin to your friends and hope to see you back in the future. Please ask us for the "repeat guest discount".
Wild Things was just as advertised, nice cabin and very clean. Plenty of space for our family of four, and the beds were very comfy. Didn't realize the cabin was going to be scary to drive to, narrow, steep roads with no guard rails or anything. But if that kind of thing doesn't bother you then you're good to go. It was a nice neighborhood, once we got past the fear of the drive in! The owner was very helpful and responded quickly any time we needed her. Overall was a great time!
Owner Response
Dear guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at our cabin. Mountain driving is very different than driving on flat terrain. Those who have never done it find it a bit overwhelming at first. That happened to us because we are from Florida and were not used to driving in the mountains. So glad to hear that the cabin was nice, clean and that you had a great time. Hope you visit us again soon. Best regards, Barbara
the place is great ! Very comfortable and you have almost everything you need for a great week end away from home ! ️The contact and the Servis with the owner is greats !! I recommended
Owner Response
It's great to hear that you thought "Wild Things" was a great place to stay. We make every effort to keep it well stocked. I appreciate your kind words,. Hope you stay with us in the future.
My family of four enjoyed our stay at wild things. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. My children enjoyed the upstairs loft. The location was great (off the beaten path) but still close to the main highway. We will stay here again. Thanks Barbara for sharing your cabin with us.
Owner Response
Heather, It's wonderful to hear that your family enjoyed staying at my cabin. The best compliment we can receive is that you will be staying again. Hope to see you soon.
My two boys and I spent three nights over part of their spring break here. The photos are a fairly accurate reflection of the place. It's clean and comfortable. The front room is a living room, dining area, and small kitchen, the back room is a large bedroom with a jacuzzi tub, the open loft has the pool table and two floor mattresses for kids, and there's a bathroom. The porch has a table and chairs and a hot tub that was a fine size for me and my boys. The pool table was an intermediate size like some people might have in homes - not one of those tiny kid-size tables, but also not a regulation size table either; the photos make that clear. My boys liked having an Xbox to play for a bit - though that can be a drawback I suppose if someone wants an electronics-free vacation. We brought a few games - as others have said, there aren't any in the cabin. I wish we would have thought to bring a second Xbox controller from home since there was only one to use. If you're looking for complete seclusion or breathtaking views, this isn't your place, though it doesn't advertise itself as such. And for $109 a night when we went in March, it was wonderful. It is in the woods. This isn't one of those places where they pack 100 cabins side by side with football-sized fields of asphalt and not a tree in sight. It also doesn't have the feel of a suburban cabin community, like we stayed in during one unfortunate visit several years back. There is another cabin about 20 yards down the gravel road and several through the woods. I imagine once the leaves fill out, you can't see any of the other cabins nearby through the trees. There is a grill and a picnic table in front of the cabin, which is right along the gravel road, as you can see in the photo. For us, this was a far better alternative to staying in a hotel. We wanted a home base for visiting the park for some hiking and biking and for a couple visits to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for a bit of minigolf and go-carts. We ate dinner in the cabin and watched some hockey on TV in the evenings. If someone wants a cabin for a completely isolated retreat from the world, then I suppose they're not looking for something 15 minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
This cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or a couple and two kids. The upstairs is a loft with 2 twin beds, tv, pool table...and overlooks the downstairs LR. Everything is clean and the nicely decorated. My daughter loved the hot tub and playing checkers on the porch. I highly recommend you find it during the day.....seriously. We couldn't use the fireplace because it was shut off til Oct so that was a bit of a bummer. The owners are very nice. I should mention it's located in the strip between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (even though the address is Sevierville) which was nice.
Owner Response
Glad to hear you enjoyed our cabin and that it was perfect for your getaway. Hope you visit us again soon. And you're right our location is great because you are in the middle of both towns.
Very nice spacious cabin. Had everything we needed. Nice location. Still got cell phone reception which was a plus. Will recommend. Will keep in mind for future stays in Gatlinburg.
Owner Response
I am glad you had a great vacation at our cabin and that it had everything you needed. We strive to keep it well stocked. Hope you visit us again soon.
the cabin is very beautiful n very well arranged. I wish I had more time there to stay n explore more around. I will be looking forward to next time when I get a chance to get out there again. I guess the only down side was the water got cold fast couldn't use the jacuzzi. It's a great cabin I will recommend it to friends n family
My husband and I stayed at Wild Things for our honeymoon and it was PERFECT! The cabin was comfy, clean, family friendly, and perfect for a honeymoon.... EXACTLY as described! Barbara was very friendly and super easy to work with. I wouldn't have wanted to spend it anywhere else. I highly recommend Wild Things!!
Very nice cabin. Everything was clean and e erything we needed was there.
Owner Response
It's good to hear you had a great vacation and that our cabin was properly stocked to provide you with an excellent time in the Smokies. Hope you stay with us again in the near future.
The cabin was centrally located to all of the nearby attractions and main towns. The cabin had all of the amenities needed for my family of 5. The kitchen was excellently supplied with all the necessary tools for a home cooked meal. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning temperature was great. The water pressure when using the washer was a bit weak and made for the washer cycle to take a longer time than normal but definately a comfort to have. The pool table was definitely a wonderful pastime. But needs two new pool sticks. I definitely would go back and would refer this cabin to my family and friends. Great great great cabin, location and overall experience.
Owner Response
dear Anna, Thanks for review. We have now purchased new pool stix and had a plumber take a look at the washing machine. All is in great working order. We strive to maintain our properties in good shape for our guests so your constructive comments were welcomed. Hope you visit us again soon.
The cabin was just as pictured nice and clean and had great decorations. The kitchen was fully stocked and great for cooking breakfast and lunch. The loft was great for my two kids a girl and a boy with separate twin beds. The master bedroom had a great king size bed with the soft sheets ever. It was great to have Wi-Fi that was high-speed and cable TV. The only downfall of this cabin was that it was a 10 minute drive up to the top of the mountain. This could be a drawback if you do get carsick on winding roads. Otherwise a great location for a family trip to Gatlinburg or pigeon Forge.
Owner Response
Thanks for taking the time to review my property. So glad to hear that you found it to be a great cabin for a family with 2 kids. We had lots of fun decorating it with all of the wildlife found in the Smokies. Hope you visit us again in the future.
Let's just say this was a vacation to remember. But, I'll tell you about this cabin that doesn't disappoint. I agree this cabin should be found in daylight for it is at the top of a mountain and there are lots of turns. We (wife, three kids ages 14, 10, 7) planned this vacation and wanted something that would feel like home, with a lot more fun...we found it!! First, this cabin is perfectly located between Pigeon Forge (5-10 min drive from bottom of mountain) and Gatlinburg(10 min drive from bottom of mountain) and just a few minutes from the entrance of the Smoky Mountain National Park. The cabin inside is beautiful, wood throughout. The kitchen is stocked nicely, we added a few things but a lot was there. No complaints. Great dining area, hot tub, master bedroom that is beautiful. Game room with two sleeping cubbies. Big screens throughout the house. WIFI, etc. Wild Things will not disappoint, you might even get a visit from Bruce the bear, or Shadow the cat, or the turkies we couldn't name because there were too many. Barbara(owner) was also a great communicator through this whole process, we asked for suggestions and we did everything she suggested and she was right...what a great time. Planning next year already....
Owner Response
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our cabin. Glad you enjoyed your stay.
My wife and I had a wonderful honeymoon at wild things. The house was great and it was close to a lot of nice restaurants, hiking trails, and tourist attractions. We definitely recommend visting Gatlinburg and going to the groto falls. There were only 2 things that went wrong. First working the hot tub was difficult and we only were able to use it twice due to the water becoming cold and it wouldn't let us warm it up. The other thing was a huge wild bear came at night and knocked over the trash can twice which was pretty scary. But It's nature (hence the cabins name, "Wild things") so we understand.... but the trash definitely needs like a cage over it or something more secure than just a top cover. Other than that we had a blast. Barbara was extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed! It was absolutely wonderful and so much fun! :) God bless.
Owner Response
So nice to hear you enjoyed your trip and our cabin. We have already purchased the bear proof trash can as bears were very active this year in the Smokies and getting a bear proof trash can was a necessity. Hope you visit us again soon.
We came to wild things for our honeymoon and we had a great time, the cabin was perfect for us. We love rustic decor and are outdoorsy people so we were in love with the look of the cabin... The bed was comfortable, but.....don't bother using the Jacuzzi tub as the water pressure and hot water tank are awful so the bath tub fills about half way and your out do water. The hot tub worked great though, there is a leak somewhere so you have to fill it a little after a few days but it was great after a day of hiking! Location was great!! And definitely find the cabin during the day!!! We would definitely come back to wild things.
Owner Response
We're glad you loved the rustic décor. We made every effort to decorate it with the different wild animals found in the Smokies. We will look into the issue with the water pressure as it is our intention that all of our guests have a wonderfully "wild" time at our cabin.
Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was clean and welcoming. There were enough pots and pans for cooking and enough plates and silverware for serving. The dishwasher worked well. The hot tub was working and perfect. It was easy to work the key lock and alarm system. The only regretful thing was the shower pressure was not great and the hot water didn't work well coming out of the shower head but it worked in the jacuzzi and the bathtub faucet well. Everything else was wonderful and the price was affordable at 150/night.
Owner Response
Thanks for taking the time to review our property. We strive for guest satisfaction and your 5 star review makes us very happy. We hope you visit us again in the future. We have taken care of the water pressure issue....
Clean cabin. Very private even though there were other cabins near by. 10 minutes off main drag (between PF & G) up a steep curvy road. If you have a truck, take it. Hopefully you can arrive during daylight hours. I don't think we would have found it in the dark-even with GPS and written directions. No musty smell (that I was afraid of). Shower did not work and hot water runs out pretty fast. Hot tub was clean. The alarm was going dead on day 3 (we guess), as it beeped for a day and a night. We hung a towel over it and closed the bedroom door so we could sleep. The cabin was fine for a couple and perhaps a couple with children, but not for 2 couples due to the small single bathroom and sleeping arrangements. Overall, it was a good stay however I will look for one a little closer to 441 next visit.
Owner Response
You are correct, this cabin and its layout is perfect for a couple with children. The upstairs has two twin beds that are great for the kids. We wish you would have advised us of the issue with the shower and we would have had our maintenance crew take care of it immediately.
Wonderful property! The cabin was a great find; tucked away in the woods, restful, centrally located, and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive to our needs and assisted us in finding interesting things to do on our first visit. We would definitely recommend this for a small family or a couple. Thank you!!!
Owner Response
We are so happy you enjoyed our cabin and that your stay was wonderful! We strive to keep our property clean and comfortable so that our guests can have a great time.
We had a wonderful stay at Wild Things. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The cabin was clean & well maintained. There were plenty of nice quality towels. Barbara was very easy to deal with and she responded quickly to all emails. Anything that we needed to know prior to arrival was emailed & very organized. Check in was the easiest we have had with any cabin. The parking was very convenient & easy for unloading the car. There are some one lane roads on the way to the cabin, but only just a short distance. It was not an issue at all for us. It was not a bad drive compared to other places we have rented in the past. We would definetly stay here again.
We loved staying at Wild Things, we have a tradition to stay at Gatlinburg but it was pretty nice staying at Pigeon Forge. The cabin was really nice we felt like we were at home. The only thing was it only had one bathroom but we made it work. Honestly, we had such fun that we are thinking about returning in the summer. If you prefer peace and quiet and a home away from home I highly recommend.
Our last minute decision to escape for a long weekend meant a scramble to find the right cabin. Wild Things met that challenge. Perfect for a couple and very comfortable. It was nicely decorated - tastefully - for it's given name! Just what you may need in the kitchen too... nice appliances. We enjoyed the screened-in porch with the hot tub. The home was clean and we even played a few games of pool upstairs where the themed decor continues in the loft. If you had small children, the cabin could work as there where 2 twin size mattresses there too. (ages 7-11 maybe?). Barbara was very nice to work with and responded via email and/or text very quickly! We will most certainly keep this cabin in mind for future visits to the Smokey Mountains!
Owner Response
I really appreciate all the kind words about our cabin, amenities and cleanliness. We strive hard to achieve our number one goal, exceeding guests' expectations. Thank you so very much for your business.
The road there takes focus - but the destination is worth it. The cabin is large, clean, pretty well stocked ( we couldn't find a kettle). The pool table and hot tub are a wonderful touch and make it hard to leave the cabin - but when you do - the walks and views are great. Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg are the perfect distance away for serenity - but close enough for any forgotten groceries.
This cabin is awesome! It is very clean, well decorated and stocked with everything you need for a few day stay. Barb was so nice and easy to work with. The only negative I can say is, the water in the shower does not get hot. It is Luke warm at best but to be honest it didn't bother us that much because the cabin is so wonderful in so many other ways.
Owner Response
hi Kaila, I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our cabin. I will definitely have the plumber check out the water heater as this is the first time we hear about the water not being hot enough. Hope you visit us again in the future.
The cabin is beautiful and very nicely decorated. Unfortunately we did have some issues with the propane and hot water. This was brought to the owners attention for future guests and hopefully will be taken care of. Once these issues have been fixed I don't think there would be anything to complain about. A great cabin for a small family looking for some time to relax, not too far out of town.
Owner Response
It was unfortunate that the propane tank was out, but the gauge said it was 80% full. I apologize for the inconvenience and it was already resolved. The plumber was out there after your departure and it was an issue with the water handle--it needed replacement. I am glad you found our cabin nicely decorated as we took extra care to make it feel warm and comfy.
This was a great stay away from home. Everything was beautiful, clean and everything you need is right there at your finger tips. I had a great time rekindling the spark in my marriage in that hot thumb! The scenery was spectacular I would recommend it to anyone wanting a little taste of the cabin life. I also enjoyed being close to all of the attractions and restaurants. It's the little details that made it so inviting, from the decor on the walls to the little details in the dishes. LOTS of great things to keep the eyes stimulated and pleased. Thank you wildthings I will one day return again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Owner Response
Thanks for taking the time to review our cabin. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean and comfortable and conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Our 4 year old daughter loved the upstairs loft and slept great. The master bedroom was spacious enough for a pack-n-play for our son and the bed was comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing and we liked that the porch was screened in. The cabin is set back in a little section off the main road which gave us some extra privacy. We were glad we had a GPS because the road out to it is a little confusing and it would have been a little difficult to find it with out the GPS. Overall I think this cabin is perfect for a family with small kids and has everything you need. We had no complaints. Also, the owners were very understanding of our needs and we appreciated their kindness.
Owner Response
Thank you Wendy for taking the time to review our property. I am delighted that you and your family enjoyed your stay.
The drive up to the cabin was quite the adventure. Coming in to the cabin I felt right at home, it was cozy and very clean. It was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, from towels to pots and pans, and a grocery store conviniently located right off the mountain. Although it was cold outside we were able to take advantage of the outdoor hot tub, which was already warm when we arrived. Our bedroom was huge and the bed was extremely comfortable. The kids loved the upstairs play room, it was hard to get them out of the cabin everyday. Barbara was so pleasant to deal with and always responsed my questions immediately. While I was up in TN she gave me all the hot spots to visit and was readily accessible. I am counting down the months until I can come back to TN and stay at Wild Things (:
My family and I stayed here for spring break. The house is just like it is in the pictures! It was sooo clean. It is about 8 min from the Main road which was awesome it was so peaceful and quiet. I contacted Barbara about how to use the alarm system and she got back to me right away. Everything about this place was just PERFECT!!
Owner Response
Thank you Jody for your great review. We took great care in trying to decorate our cabin in a welcoming, comfy way so we are glad your enjoyed it!!! Hope you visit us again soon.
Wild Things Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, it still felt tucked away from the hustle of the 'city.' I have already recommended the cabin to friends planning to stay in the area.
Owner Response
Thank you for referring our cabin to others. We appreciate it.
The owner was wonderful and so helpful from the very beginning when we were interested in the property, to checking in and promptly refunded the security deposit. Thank you we look forward to renting from you again in the future.

Very nice place to stay with kids. My family and I felt very safe and comfortable while on the property. The property owner was very helpful and easy to get a hold of. The road to the cabin is very narrow and steep in some places. However the road is paved and in very good condition.
The cabin was excellent. The pictures are a very accurate depiction of the cabin. The place was clean and comfortable. My children loved the loft area and having the beds on the floor. The location is nice (away from the hustle and bustle) and it is very convenient to get to town. The road up the mountain was curvy and narrow but well maintained. You get used to the drive after a time or two up the mountain. GPS worked all the way to the cabin and had great cell phone reception (Verizon). We will recommend this cabin to our friends and family and would stay here again in the future.
This cabin was exactly as described. The perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. Beautifully decorated and clean this cabin had everything we needed. The owner Barbara was very helpful and readily available should we have needed anything. She checked in with us during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our very first trip to Gatlinburg. We can't wait to come back to Gatlinburg and stay at wild things cabin once again. This is a trip we will never forget as it was perfect!!
We had an excellent time staying at Wild Things. The drive up to the cabin was hilly and curvy as expected, but the roads were well marked and paved the whole way which was nice. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals including pots, baking pans, mixing bowls, utensils, etc. and the grill and picnic table out front were nice and big for outdoor cooking. Everyone said their bed was comfortable and they were able to sleep very well. Overall it was a great place to stay and quiet even on a busy holiday weekend. Perfectly located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge!
This was a perfect cabin for our family of four! We had our two girls (8 &11) with us and they loved having the upstairs all to themselves! We enjoyed the beautiful drive from Gatlinburg about 25mins or so to the cabin and only a quick 15 mins to Pigeon Forge. We made dinner one night and breakfast the next morning and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the checkers and hot tub out on the screen porch. It was a perfect way to end the day of hiking. But sitting outside on the front porch and listening to the birds and my daughter by her guitar was by far my favorite. We loved how this cabin in outside of town in the woods!

Caressa, How wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our cabin. We, too, enjoy sitting on the porche with our coffee and enjoying the birds singing.... Hope you visit us again soon.
The cabin was great and perfect for our family of 4. I have an 18 and 12 year old and was a little hesitant because of the loft "twin" beds and it not being an actual bedroom since my boys were a little older. They loved the loft and the beds didn't bother them at all. One of the mattresses actually ended up being a double so it suited perfectly. They boys stayed in the loft the majority of the time when we were at the cabin playing pool and on the x-box. So, it was perfect! The location was great! Obviously, the roads are very windy and hilly getting there but once we actually got to the cabin it was level parking so that was good. Will definitely consider staying there again if we visit in the future.
Everything about the cabin was wonderful just like in the pictures. Our stay was a relaxing and peaceful one. We felt secluded being on a cul-de-sac only sitting next to one urge cabin. The host was very quick with responding to any of our needs.. i would fully recommend staying here..
My fiancé, son and myself stayed at the Wild Things cabin in Pigeon Forge, TN in late July 2016 for 5 days, 4 nights. The cabin was more than accommodating and really gave us the outdoor vibe we were looking for. The kitchen provided all we needed and my 12 year old son really enjoyed having the loft with pool table & video games to himself. My fiancé and I loved the king size bed and the jacuzzi in the master bedroom and the hottub provided a relaxing and fun time for all 3 of us. We really took advantage of the few days we had in the Smokys with river rafting, Ripley's Aquarium, Forbidden Caverns of the Smokys, Wonder Works, downtown Gatlinberg & Sevierville shopping and sightseeing, roller coasters in the mountains, Cades Cove and a drive up to Newfound Gap and Clingman's Dome to finish out our vacation with a beautiful view at sunset. Barbara Hernandez was more than helpful in assisting us with a list of ideas of popular tourist attractions in the area and her husband was very helpful with directions when needed. We had an amazing family vacation and I would recommend Wild Things cabin to any family who is looking for a stress-free, relaxing and fun time in the Smokys!
We had a very nice stay at Wild Things. The upstairs loft was perfect for our two daughters. They loved the cubbies for sleeping and spent quite a bit of time up there playing as well. The screened in porch was nice to have especially at night when relaxing in the hot tub. We rated 4-stars for just a couple reasons- the tv's/DVDs players all seemed to have some sort of little issue and the vacuum that was provided didn't do a very good job cleaning. Neither "issue" impacting the overall stay. :) Thanks for helping us make lasting memories!

I am glad you enjoyed your stay -- we will take a look at your lil issues asap -- thanks for letting us know. Hope you visit us again soon
Very cozy cabin! The kids loved the loft bedroom area and played pool every night and after a long day of activities, it was nice to come back and relax in the hot tub. It was so peaceful at night just listening to the crickets and the cicadas playing their tunes.
When we walked in the door, the instant feel was very; cabin in the woods, and yet modern in Amennities and appliances. My 2.5 year old had a huge smile on his face as he ran around looking at all the decorations. The hot tub was clean, and the place was taken care of. In fact we didn't see a single bug in the place, even though it was the beginning of fall. The owner maintained communications with us and was accommodating to our situation. It is also located pretty close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge. We would stay at this cabin again if our travels brought us back to the smokies.
Owner Response
Corey, So glad to hear you enjoyed our wild things themed cabin. We truly enjoyed decorating it and my godmother ((91 years old) made the curtains for the upstairs fox theme since it's so difficult to find that already made. We found a lady in New Mexico who quilted the comforter for the upstairs. It was truly challenging, but we enjoyed making the cabin live up to it's name: WILD THINGS. Thank you for staying with us.
Our family of 4 enjoyed a perfect long weekend at the Wild Things cabin. Perfect location to visit Gatlinburg & Pidgeon Fordge. Very comfortable and cozy!! Last day we were in hot tub & caught a bear cub watching us from the street. Trip made!!! Def will be back.
We loved our stay at the Wild Things cabin. The house was clean, warm and inviting. Our children had so much fun having the loft to themselves with their special sleeping quarters. They played in the hot tub daily. We also enjoyed teaching them to play pool. The cabin is in a great location right between Gatlinburg and Pigeonford which was so convenient. We plan to make it our home away from home in that area of the Smokies.
Great place for a small family or couple. Loved the flat entry level. Kids loved the hot tub, checkers and pool table upstairs. The only reason I didn't give five stars is when we got there there was no working ice maker or ice trays and the wifi connection wasn't working. After calling to report this, the housekeeping company did bring us ice trays and a bag of ice a few hours later. We really appreciated this since we had been in the car traveling all day and didn't want to go back down the mountain at night into traffic/town to get ice. As for the wifi, my husband was able to talk with someone to walk him through resetting the wifi connection, but in the process the alarm was disabled, so we couldn't set the alarm the entire time we were there. I would recommend this cabin. It was perfect for what my family needed during our stay. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, saw lots of sights, and enjoyed our family time.
Owner Response
Allie, It was great to have you stay at our cabin. So glad your husband was able to help in resetting the wifi. Glad you liked our cabin. Hope you visit us again soon.
Perfect location, beautiful surroundings. Very close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Lots of things to do for adults and children too. Great restaurants. Very affordable. Felt just like home. Simply spectacular!!!
The master bedroom of this property was extremely nice and the owner was very pleasant to deal with. She made it very easy and accommodated us with an early check in and late check out. My kids loved the hot tub. The pool table needed updating but the kids still enjoyed playing on it. The only complaint with this property is that the "second" bedroom was the loft, with no privacy (no door) and mattresses on the floor...not really a bedroom which came as a surprise. Overall it was a nice property and my family had a nice stay!
Owner Response
Thank you Allison for taking the time to review my property. We strive for 5 star reviews and seeing your 3 star review was quite disappointing to us. It looks like you gave us 3 stars because you did not take a look at our video and our photos which reveal that the 2nd bedroom is in the loft and as you can see from the pictures the beds are in "cubby holes". We include a floor plan, a video and 24 pictures so that our guests can make an informed decision as to whether this cabin is right for them and their family.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We did have a hard time locating it because there were so many turns and roads in the development. Our GPS didn't recognize the address. When we got there, the key box holder was broken. We were able to pry he key out. Inside we noticed that most of the blinds were broken and need to be replaced. The cabin was clean. I would definitely discard the outside grill or not advertise it as a benefit for the house. The lid has completely broken off on one side and it was nearly impossible to use safely. It was a little difficult only having 1 bathroom between 4 people and since there was only 1 bathroom, I expected it to be super. The shower head needs an upgrade as well as the toilet. It got stopped up a couple of times. The day before we left, the roof started leaking in the bathroom constantly due to a few days of storms. It would also have been great to have a working ice maker but it wasn't a big deal. The refrigerator did leak constantly and a lot of our food got ruined. Our older son did enjoy staying upstairs in the loft but boy did we find out how noisy it was in the house. You could hear everything. I had a hard time doing anything upstairs because it got so hot. For some reason the air did not travel upstairs. All in all we had a great time. I hate for this to sound negative because it was a nice cabin. It just needs some upgrading and love.
We really liked the cabin. It is very true to the expectations presented in the pictures :-) it was also very clean and well stocked for our needs while staying...the beds were super comfortable and the air conditioner was GREAT !!! The only two negatives were the "shower" pressure which could be resolved with a change of shower head, maybe? The dryer stopped working on our 2nd day there and we reported that the belt might have broken and we were assured that someone would be out to fix it but they never came...this made it difficult to dry our clean towels...otherwise, it was a wonderful stay !!!! If the two things mentioned were fixed I would certainly recommend this cabin and would also stay again in the future ;-)
The cabin had a perfect location. Although the address is Sevierville, it really is just a few minutes from Gatlinburg, and to Pigeon Forge. Sevierville is the farthest from it. The pictures are very accurate. Everything was clean and comfortable, and everything needed was there. Everything was in good working condition. We enjoyed going on the Tram from Gatlinburg to Ober Ski Resort, and spent a little time there. Most of our time though was spent in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We hiked to Laurel Falls, to the observation tower at Clingman's Dome (amazing views), and Alum Cave Trail (beautiful and unique). We also spent part of a day doing Cades Cove motor loop. There are trails there also, and we were lucky enough to see several bear families and several deer, but missed seeing elk. I would highly recommend all of these. There's much to see and do in the area and am looking forward to another stay. Would definitely choose this cabin again.
We loved the cabin. Kids had a blast with the way things were set up for them in the loft and my wife and I enjoyed the bedroom and living room especially. Hot tub was awesome and kitchen was great for cooking meals at the cabin. We would love to stay again in the future after this experience! Owners were amazing as well and called/texted us to make sure all was well through the trip.
Cabin was beautiful! Loved most everything about it. I feel that there should be a warning before you go to let you know how high up in the mountains you are really going. It took us 15 min to go 3 miles. We made sure we were home each night before dark because eith the sharp turns, roller coaster roads and other cars it was tricky to navigate after dark. The cabin itself was very nice and spacious. My only comment on the cabin would be better grips in bottom if both shower and tub in bedroom they could get very slippery and lastly the kitchen sink, the water is extremely hot. Should just have a a little notice letting one know. Beautiful place!!
Enjoyed our stay here it was very nice beds were comfy only complaint was water pressure wasn't the best but the hot tub made up for it.
Owner Response
Nick, Thanks for your response. The water issue was quickly resolved by changing the filter on our water softener. There is plenty of water pressure now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Just experienced a dream vacation in a cabin in the woods. The cabin was perfectly clean and well maintained. The hot tub was fabulous! The ride up the mountain was an adventure all it's own. Nicely situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a fun time.
Owner Response
Thank you Dan for taking the time to review our cabin. We're glad you enjoyed it. Hope you visit us again in the future.
We had a GREAT time staying at Wild Things! The cabin was very clean and had everything you could need while on vacation. The VRBO pictures and description are very accurate. The setting was absolutely beautiful - tucked away up the mountain but close enough to town to run out for a pizza (~15-25min depending on weather) Although there are a few neighboring cabins they are far enough away to maintain privacy. We were looking for a quiet setting to appreciate the beautiful surroundings and that's just what we got! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us Barbara - we took good care of it and can't wait to come back! Jill, Jeff and Zach; Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Jill, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our cabin. We love wild life and we like to decorate our cabins that way - we're glad you enjoyed it. Hope you stay with us again.
Everything was just like the pictures. Very clean, well stocked, and all the privacy you need and still close to everything. We will definitely be back again!!! Thank you for sharing your cabin. Everything was amazing!!!
Owner Response
Candice, I'm glad that you felt your cabin experience was "perfect". Hope you plan a visit in the near future. Remind us about the repeat guest discount.
We have stayed here before (a few years ago). While this visit presented a few issues when we arrived, Barbara was QUICK to respond and pay attention to details. The screened-in side porch offers privacy around the hot tub, but you can still enjoy natural views. Kitchen is well stocked with comforts of home. Decor is typical of the area and LOVE the wooden raccoon wrapped around stair post! Thanks to the owners and we look forward to our next visit.
Owner Response
Diana, Thank you for your feeback - it is truly appreciated.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Wild Things. The location was great, only 10-15 minutes from store, gas etc. The cabin was spacious and decorated very nicely. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was a favorite! We would definitely recommend this cabin for a small family with kids!
Owner Response
Thank you so much for leaving us a 5 star review. We strive for guest satisfaction and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to having you back.
The cabin is in a great location. It is secluded, but not so far away that you are lost. The cabin is beautifully decorated and open. Our favorite part was the side porch with the hot tub. It was great to sit with family and relax. I am just so impressed and will definitely be back! If the cabin itself isn’t enough to make me want to come back, Barbara was so wonderful to work with that I want to visit again. She was quick to respond and kind. If you’re looking for a great stay in the mountains, I would highly recommend it!

Hi there, Thank you for sharing this great 5 star review with our future guests. We really do strive for guest satisfaction and I am glad we accomplished this! We look forward to hosting you in the future.
The place was just like the pictures. The hot tub and jacuzzi were nice and relaxing. The location was close to town. The beds were like sleeping on feather pillows. Barbara was a pleasure to do business with. I would positively stay here again!
Owner Response
Wow, thanks for the awesome review. We're thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to hosting you in the future.
Perfect little getaway. We spent our honeymoon here and it was perfect. Super close to everything you need while still being far enough away. Will definitely try and make another trip.
Owner Response
So glad to hear our cabin was PERFECT for your honeymoon. Congratulations!!! Hope you visit us again in the near future.
My family just got back from Tennessee a couple weeks ago and loved it! Perfect location to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, or if you just wanted to relax at the cabin. The boys had their space upstairs and we all enjoyed the hot tub! The hubby and I are already talking about going back.
Owner Response
We're glad you loved the Smokies and our cabin. We'd love to host your family again.
This cabin was just like the pictures, absolutely beautiful! There was 3 of us and we stayed for 5 days. The kitchen is fully equipped. The only thing we needed was food storage containers. Plus there was plenty of towels so we didn’t run out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here I would recommend it to anyone. The only issue I had was I couldn’t get the jets to work on the jacuzzi tub. Other than that it was a perfect little getaway.
The cabin was way off the highway and the road to get to it was very small! The cabin was clean but didn't care for finding scorpions and critter crawlers in our bedroom. Not a very good view just a lot of woods. And we had to change a lot of light bulbs when we got there, the front door wouldn't shut correctly and the lock and the alarm was broken when we arrived.
Owner Response
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Mountain roads can be windy and curvy, but we have a nice flat circular driveway which provides easy access to the cabin. I'm sorry you found scorpions, but I've already alerted our pest control service. I wish you would have advised us of the light bulbs and we would have sent our maintenance man to take care of it for you.
It was beautiful nice clean and quiet. Just what we needed. We did encounter bears outside the cabin but they just was passing through the woods. Our next family vacation we are going back.
Owner Response
I'm glad you loved our cabin. We love the open floor plan and cathedral ceilings. Wow, you're lucky that you saw some bears....Hope you visit us again soon.
Do not hesitate and book this cabin. It was clean, well equipped and the king bed was very comfortable. I read prior reviews, and I agree, getting there can be confusing, but we figured out a better way after the first day. If you are on 321 travelling towards Gatlinburg, it may be difficult to turn left to take king bridge rd because of traffic coming from Gatlinburg. Upper middle creek is a better option. Plus you will avoid steep and curvy roads. It was pretty scary the first time. But if you like that, you will be fine. Thank you Barbara, we really enjoyed our stay.
Owner Response
Thank you for sharing your experience and your tips with other guests. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you visit us again in the future.
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon! The cabin was Beautiful! Everything was nicely kept and had that cozy-cabin feel to it. Hot tubs works just fine and was also very clean. We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer! I only have two complaints - the water pressure in the shower isn't the greatest, but it's not a deal breaker on this place. Also the coffee pot was a little dirty on the inside of the machine where you would put the water to be filtered through. Other than those two slight inconveniences this place is a dream! We would definitely stay here again!
Owner Response
I'm glad you found our cabin to be beautiful. We put a lot of effort into selecting decor items that would suit our theme. And thanks for letting us know about the water pressure ---we have already taken care of it.
Overall, the cabin was very nice, however, our first impression upon arrival wasn't too good. The mini-blinds in the front window were broken and made the cabin look a little run down. We thought, oh boy, i hope this isn't indicative of the rest of the cabin. Thankfully it wasn't. Everything else was very nice and very clean Initially had some trouble with the alarm due to some miscommunication on the alarm code. Barbara was very responsive and worked hard to get it resolved quickly though.
Owner Response
Thank you for sharing your experience. We have ordered the new blinds and they will be installed soon. We hope you visit us again in the future.
Our cabin stay was just what we needed, quiet, relaxing and beautiful. We contacted Barbara when we got there for the code we needed, we had a few problems getting it to work and called her back, she was extremely friendly and politely helped us out. The grill pictured is a gas grill but that was not what we found when we arrived, it is a park charcoal grill so make sure if you are going to grill out you bring charcoal and lighter fluid. Barbara apologized and left us know what happened and said she is going to work on getting the pics updated. The drive up to this cabin is not as bad as we anticipated from past reviews. We have traveled much steeper and narrower than this. When you chose to stay in these beautiful mountains then you have to be prepared to travel some steep roads. This cabin has everything you need for a very relaxing, peaceful get away. Barbara is very quick to respond and is great to work with. Thank you Barbara for sharing your beautiful cabin, we had a wonderful time.
Our stay was amazing in this lovely cabin! Close to everything and still has that cabin feel. It's easy to find, roomy, and well kept. I would stay again and recommend to anyone coming to the area!
Owner Response
Thank you for taking the time to review our cabin. We're glad you enjoyed it.
Great place to stay. Winding roads but doable. Only complaints is the small pool table. The pockets kept opening up letting the balls out.
Owner Response
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We will definitely look into getting the pool table repaired-we were unaware of the issue.
This cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more! Barbara was very forthcoming about the roads leading there, so we displaced Floridians did not have a problem getting to the cabin. We were close to everything but still felt tucked away in the mountains. The jacuzzi was perfect after a long, cold hike in the national park! The master bedroom is so cozy, the fireplace nice and warm, and the "wild things" all over the cabin just make it all too cute! We will be returning with the kids, who will love the fox themed loft. By the way, while Google Maps cannot find this place on GPS, the Waze map absolutely can, every time! So we had no issues going wherever we pleased. One thing we are adding to what to bring next is cleaning supplies. We found some little sticky baby handprints on a window hidden by blinds but found no windex to remove them, and we kept forgetting to buy some. Lol. It wasn't a problem, so we didn't bother the owners about it. I just wish we had remembered to buy some windex and clean it for them before we left! Everything else was cleaned up just fine. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and we will be back in a couple years.
We came here for a weekend getaway and were very pleased. Bed was so incredibly comfortable! Kitchen space was perfect for cooking meals together. Location is perfectly between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinberg! Would definitely stay again!
There were a few needed upgrades like shower head and better pillows and blinds but overall very nice home and privacy was perfect!
Owner Response
Natalie, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property. We have ordered new blinds and they will be installed in Mid march.
The cabin was great! It felt very homey and it was in a great location. There were a few things that needed to be updated. The shower head in the bath room did not work, the outlet in the bathroom did not work, and the bath tub in the bedroom was not clean. But other than that it was a great cabin. We enjoyed our stay.
Owner Response
Olivia, I wish you would have called us about the shower so that I could've let you know how it works. All that needed to be done is to pull on the water spout and that gets the shower to work. We can only address maintenance issues if we are made aware that they exist during your stay.
We enjoyed our stay in the Wild Things cabin VERY much! My teen boys loves playing pool and video games in between our hikes and other activities in the area. Beds were very comfortable. We would come back for sure, and my kids are already requesting this same cabin. My only suggestion would be to have more towels available- we ended up doing a lot of laundry between towels used for bathing and towels needed for after the hot tub; but we do have a larger family. Also, after about 4 days the hot tub needed more chemicals for the water to stay clean and fresh smelling. We enjoyed relaxing in it everyday of our stay, but towards the end of our trip the water started to smell. Those are very minor though, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. Thanks for helping to make our first family trip to the Smoky Mountains a wonderful memory!
Wild Things was super cute, neat, and cozy! I would recommend adding shading/curtains on the porch with the hot tub for more privacy. Passersby could easily see into this area. I was a little bothered that within 30 minutes of our arrival two youngsters arrived to fix the access code on the front door. They stayed an hour and a half. This was annoyning as it briefly interrupted our time together, but I understand and appreciate that the system was fixed relatively quickly. BUT this interruption did not keep us from enjoying the remainder of our stay. I would recommend Wild Things and would love to visit again!
Owner Response
I apologize for the inconvenience of having the lock changed out, but we heard from our cleaners that the lock was not working properly and we didn't have much time between guests to get the new lock and the installation done before you arrived. I am glad you enjoyed your stay!!!
This is a great cabin. We were a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) and we had a great time. The cabin was clean, plenty of towels, well-stocked kitchen, nice TV, and - the best - a great hot tub (which we enjoyed every day). It's conveniently located, about 15-20 minutes from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain National Park. Communication with Barbara was very good, she is proactive pre-arrival and very responsive during the stay. We definitely recommend this place!
My family had a wonderful time! The cabin was beautiful and very clean. Some very minor things that need to be fixed are the shower, which wouldn't work at all so my family took baths (didn't bother us because there was a giant jacuzzi tub!!) and the dishwasher also would not cut on, but we didn't mind that either. Very very minor things in the grand scheme of things! Very spacious, very clean, and definitely worth the trip! Would definitely stay here again!
My family and I had a great time staying in this cabin. It is in a great spot that is relatively close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The pictures are accurate and the accommodations were great. The only reasons we couldn’t give it five stars across the board is because we were given the wrong code for the security system (oops), and the trash bins outside the cabin had not been emptied. The owners responded quickly to the alarm issue and the trash issue was only a minor inconvenience. These things aside, the cabin was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was off the beaten path, but we really enjoyed the scenic sites of this place. The cabin is located right in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with easy access to both locations. Also very close to the National Park. Highly suggest “Wild Things” for couples or families!
Loved our stay at Wild Things cabin!! It was very clean and well stocked. The king size bed was very comfortable. So peaceful sitting in the hot tub every evening enjoying a glass of wine after a long day of walking....really helped with aching legs. Close to everything and we loved the drive through the mountain to get to the cabin. The directions given by Barbara were on point. Would highly recommend this cabin!
