WILD & FREE CABIN, recently remodeled 3 level all log cabin, with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths-just minutes to DOLLYWOOD
WILD & FREE is a 3 level cabin with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Sleeps 12-14
The semi-secluded setting of Wild & Free Lodge offers all the quiet and privacy you want from a Smoky Mountain getaway. Yet the 4-bedroom log home is surprisingly close to the attractions of both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Add to its spectacular location amenities such as a hot tub, Jacuzzis, pool and foosball tables, domino table and a fire pit, and you have the makings of a perfect vacation.
Wild & Free Lodge can sleep 12 to 14 people—. Each bedroom is decorated in a wildlife theme. The main floor’s master suite is a retreat in and of itself, with a king-size bed, a jetted tub, a private bathroom, and a door that opens directly onto the deck where the hot tub is located.
A second master suite is located upstairs. It is just as pampering, with its own jetted tub and bathroom, a queen-size bed, and cathedral ceilings that give the room a fairy-tale ambience. The remaining 2 bedrooms are downstairs. One has a queen-size bed; the other is twice as nice, with 2 queen-size beds, making it a great room for the kids or for parents in your group with little ones who don’t want to sleep on their own. These bedrooms share the 3rd bathroom, which is large enough to also house the cabin’s washer and dryer. All 4 bedrooms have their own TVs. What’s more, the upstairs and downstairs game rooms each have a queen-size sleeper sofa, as does the main floor’s great room.
Speaking of the great room, it manages to be both spacious and cozy, thanks in part to its cathedral ceiling and lustrous wood-planked walls and floor. Whether you’re stretched out on a couch watching TV, warming yourself by the gas fireplace after a day on the slopes, or playing a board game with the kids, you’ll feel right at home in the rustic yet refined living area.
The dining area seats 12. Eight can gather around the table, and 4 more can sit at the adjacent breakfast bar. On the other side of the breakfast bar is the well-equipped kitchen. Appliances, pots and pans, tableware and serveware, regular coffee maker and a new Keurig coffee maker: You name it, Wild & Free Lodge kitchen has it. You can cook outdoors as well, on the charcoal grill. If you reel in any trout from the nearby streams, try grilling it for a true Smoky Mountain feast.
Wild & Free Lodge has 2 game rooms. The loft game room hosts the full-size pool table as well as a TV. Downstairs is where you’ll find the foosball table, a dartboard, and an even larger TV, complete with surround sound, a DVD player, and a PlayStation 3. And wait till you settle back onto those plush sofas; you might never want to get back up!
The cabin has both a front porch and a rear deck, enabling you to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding woodlands. You can listen to the mountain breeze rustle through the leaves as you sit around the patio table or amid the steamy bubbles of the hot tub, which can accommodate up to 5 people at once. Once the stars come out, build a bonfire in the backyard’s rock pit, roast marshmallows, and listen to the owls hooting in the distance; it’s a memory you’ll long cherish.
Given how secluded Wild & Free Lodge seems, you might forget how conveniently close it is to everything that the area has to offer. In 15 minutes (or less!) you can drive to Dollywood, Gatlinburg Golf Course, and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an 8-mile trail of more than 120 studios, galleries, and shops. Just a few minutes more and you can be at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Titanic Museum, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, mini golf, arcades, alpine coasters, restaurants, and more. There are activities for all ages.
A vacation at Wild & free Lodge is a dream come true. So make your dream a reality, and book your stay today—before someone else beats you to it!

Sparkly clean, incredibly cozy and with super close to everything. This property is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. Each room has its own wild animal theme which lives up to the Cabins name “Wild and Free”. The cabin is packed it’s fun things to do which cane really handle with my kiddos. The owner was super adorable leaving a welcome basket on the kitchen counter. Packed with all the commodities One may need for a great vacation. I will book this cabin again and again God willing...can’t wait to go back.
Barbara & Abel invited us to spend some days with them during the holidays. This cabin is EXCELLENT! We have been coming to the Smoky Mountains for over 15 years and have rented many cabins, Wild and Free is the best cabin we have ever stayed at. It is close to everything. Dollywood and the golf course are within minutes of the cabin. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the parkway. You are secluded in the mountains but within minutes of everything. One thing that is important to me is that the roads to the cabin are safe and not steep. The cabin is comfortable and very nicely decorated in a wildlife theme. The bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. It has two beautiful master bedrooms. The top level master bedroom has high ceilings and plenty of windows. The master bedroom in the entry level is large and has a king bed. The dining table has comfortable seating for 8 people and the counter for another 4, this made for family dining. The lower level has two very comfortable bedrooms, bathroom and a large living area with TV. The kids enjoyed playing pool and foosball. This cabin is perfect for a large group or a small group. I can't wait to come again soon, since there were more things to do than days to do them in. We really enjoyed visiting Anakeesta, the kids loved the bridges. There's always something new going on in the Smokies. Thank you for letting us stay at Wild and Free.
This cabin was a fantastic choice for our adult getaway. It has been well taken care of and it shows!! I have not one negative thing to say about this. The views are spectacular. It allows several places to gather as a group, but the 4 bedrooms also gave us our privacy. We loved this place and will definitely be back! I HIGHLY recommend this cabin!
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We took our time finding every item you see on the walls as we wanted to make the space comfy and beautiful for our family and our guests. We're glad you liked it.
Fantastic location, clean and well stocked with anything you might need in a kitchen. Barbara was fantastic to work with too. Will definitely book again!
Dawn, Thanks for sharing your comments. We're glad you were pleased with your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back to our cabin.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was very sucluded. 5 miles in the mountains equals 15 minutes, we forgot to take that into consideration. Lol. I felt like it could’ve been cleaned a little better when we got there, but it was still very beautiful. There was plenty of games and things to keep you busy at the cabin. The kitchen was stocked well so we were able to use it for everything we needed. Very spacious. I would recommend this property to friends.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We have shared your review with our cleaning crew so that they can make sure everything is spic and span as it should be. Thank you for taking the time to review our cabin. Hope you visit us again in the near future.
The house was absolutely beautiful. Just enough rooms and beds for 9 people. Open concept so no one felt left out if they were in the kitchen and others in the living room. Owners were very quick to respond to questions!! Loved it and will stay again!!
I'm glad you thought our house was beautiful. We put a lot of work into decorating it so your kind words are appreciated. Thanks for booking with us.
We enjoyed our stay at your place. It occupied whole of my family members comfortably. Downtown Gatlinburg was 10 min away. Owners were very prompt answering any questions. Will stay again here.
I am glad you and your family had an amazing trip!! Hope you visit us again in the future.
The cabin was amazing! I was first greeted by a cute welcoming bear waving by the entrance (plastic of course). When I entered, I was amazed by the warmth of the decor. It felt like I was at home. The cabin had three floors. Top had the pool table and and a table to play chest and checkers. I was lucky to sleep in the top floor :)). The middle floor had the kitchen and the family area with a decent sized TV and a backdoor that led to the jacuzzi. The bottom floor had the fuse ball table and dominoes table. There was a backdoor that led to the campfire where we had smores' one night YUMMY! My stay, overall, was an experience to remember forever. I was very pleased with this cabin and I highly recommend this to anybody looking for a place to relax and enjoy their vacation!! :)
This was a truly enjoyable experience and would definitely return. It was more than I expected. The cabin is very comfortable, charming, well maintained and conveniently located. Many attractions and dining within minutes. I in particular love the natural attractions but I also enjoyed Anakeesta and I highly recommend this whether for a fun active vacation or a nice quiet relaxing retreat surrounded by nature. I found the hosts to be friendly, accommodating and very focused on customer satisfaction.
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We look forward to hosting you in the future.
My family and I enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It is in a pretty convenient location! Right in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Overall, the cabin was pretty clean. It could use a deep cleaning, though. Certain areas you could tell hadn’t been cleaned for a while. We also had to pretty much wash every dish before using it. Almost all of the silverware still had food stuck on them. (We later found out the dishwasher didn’t work so well.) The cabin had plenty of room. My family really enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Overall, we had a good time, and the cabin was nice and comfy.
Beautiful cabin perfect for our family. We would definitely recommend this property to others. We noticed upon using the pool table for the first time, the cue ball was missing.. Owner was contacted that evening and she had maintenance staff deliver another one the next day. That meant a lot to our family! We just wanted the owner to know it was missing prior to our coming for our stay. We appreciated her getting one to us quickly. She takes pride in the property...as simple as a cue ball!
Beautiful lodge in the woods! Eleven of us enjoyed our week together in this spacious log house. The 4 grand children used the hot tub several times a day and we adults relaxed on the porches. Our trips to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the National Park were close and easy from Wild and Free. Barbara, the owner, was available whenever I called and took care of purchasing a new Keurig the same morning I called; plus a new remote for the play station. I recommend this home away from home for your vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains.
This was our family's Christmas. Ohio and North Carolina family's. Perfect meeting half way. Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin its size was big enough to accommodate all of us It was peaceful, quiet but yet close to all the entertainment that everyone wanted. Cabin was supplied with everything needed. We will be back for another vacation - it was that enjoyable.
I am so glad to hear you had a great time at our cabin. We look forward to hosting you in the future.
The cabin was very spacious for 11 people & plenty of entertainment to keep you busy weather it be a Family game night or an adult night after the kids went to bed. Neighbor was very quiet and relaxing not a lot of traffic going through.
Thanks for your 5 star review. We're glad you enjoyed our cabin for your birthday getaway.
